{"id":1472,"date":"2010-11-13T16:34:25","date_gmt":"2010-11-13T16:34:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.geekworldordersite.com\/blog\/?p=1472"},"modified":"2010-11-13T16:34:55","modified_gmt":"2010-11-13T16:34:55","slug":"1472","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.geekworldordersite.com\/blog\/2010\/11\/1472\/","title":{"rendered":"Transformers War For Cybertron 2 Confirmed"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><a href=\"http:\/\/www.geekworldordersite.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/transformers_4c6d5a2ed450e.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1473\" title=\"transformers_4c6d5a2ed450e\" src=\"http:\/\/www.geekworldordersite.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/transformers_4c6d5a2ed450e.jpg\" alt=\"Transformers War For Cybertron 2 News\" width=\"500\" height=\"286\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.geekworldordersite.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/transformers_4c6d5a2ed450e.jpg 500w, http:\/\/www.geekworldordersite.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/transformers_4c6d5a2ed450e-300x171.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.geekworldordersite.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/transformers_4c6d5a2ed450e-290x165.jpg 290w, http:\/\/www.geekworldordersite.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/transformers_4c6d5a2ed450e-150x85.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/people.ign.com\/Reilly-IGN\"><\/a><\/div>\n<p>Gaming website <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ign.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">IGN<\/a> has posted some interesting news,  including the announcement of a sequel to this years War for Cybertron  and a game based on the upcoming Transformers:Dark of the Moon as well  as a brief mention of a Transformers based MMO being developed.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Hasbro confirmed during its investor conference earlier this week a sequel to <a href=\"http:\/\/ps3.ign.com\/objects\/054\/054929.html\">Transformers: War for Cybertron<\/a> is currently in development and is set for release sometime in 2012.<\/p>\n<p>Mark Blecher, SVP and General Manager of Digital Media &amp; Gaming,  said he was pleased with the response of the first title released  earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is the most highly-rated, critical success of any game that&#8217;s had  the Hasbro brand yet and we&#8217;re looking forward to a sequel in 2012,&#8221;  Blecher stated.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s expected San Diego-based <a href=\"http:\/\/games.ign.com\/objects\/734\/734517.html\">High Moon Studios<\/a>, the developer of the first game, is behind the sequel, though that information has not been confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>Blecher also said the Transformers: Dark of the Moon video game will be  released in 2011 to coincide with the launch of the movie.
