Kevin Smith <\/strong>opens up about his experience working with Bruce Willis <\/strong>on\u00a0Cop Out<\/em><\/strong>, calling it\u00a0\u201csoul crushing\u201d.<\/p>\n

Marc Maron<\/strong> interviewed Smith on his\u00a0WTF Pocast<\/a> and today he released the recording of the director making some interesting comments.<\/p>\n

Note: they are discussing the film\u2019s marketing, and more specifically, the billboard advertising, which Maron thought was horrible:<\/p>\n

Kevin Smith:<\/strong> \u201cLook, I know the real story. One guy wouldn\u2019t even sit for a f__kin\u2019 poster shoot.\u201d<\/p>\n

Marc Maron: <\/strong>\u201cYou don\u2019t want to mention names all of a sudden?\u201d<\/p>\n

Smith: <\/strong>\u201cEveryone knows who it is. Put it this way, remember the really funny guy in the movie? It ain\u2019t him. He\u2019s a f__king dream. Tracy Morgan, I would lay down in traffic for. Were it not for Tracy, I might\u2019ve killed myself or someone else in the making of that movie.\u201d<\/p>\n

Smith later explained:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was difficult. I\u2019ve never been involved in a situation like that, where one component is not in the box at all. It was f__kin soul crushing. I mean, a lot of people are gonna be like, \u2018Oh, you\u2019re just trying to blame the movie on him.\u2019 No, but I had no f__king help from this dude whatsoever.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2026he changed everything for me though. Because now I\u2019ll never meet anybody. That was it. I\u2019d rather like people from a distance.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
