Today it&#8217;s being reported  that both of them are officially on board to take these two lead female  roles, and <strong>Bill Nighy<\/strong> is in talks to take on the role Quatto, the leader of the resistance.\u00a0They will join\u00a0<strong>Colin Farrell<\/strong>, and that the movie actually starts shooting on Monday. <strong>Ethan Hawk<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Bryan Cranston<\/strong> also have roles in the film.<\/p>\n<p>According to people close to the project this film will be closer to  Phillip K. Dick\u2019s source material than the 1990 Arnold Schwarzenegger  version. Farrell plays Douglas Quaid, a factory worker in the latter who  begins to believe he is a spy, although he doesn&#8217;t know for which  side.\u00a0The movie will ditch the Martian storyline from the original pic  and instead\u00a0involves nation states Euromerica and New Shanghai.<\/p>\n<p>The producer of the film <strong>Neal Moritz<\/strong> had this to say about what we can expect from this film,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I think the world that Len Wiseman is creating is incredible. It\u2019s a  real world, a real future world, where the cities have just gotten so  overcrowded that the cities are just built up, up, up, up. It\u2019s just  everything I see on the movie, every pre-vis I see on the movie, every  conceptual drawing on this movie that I see just makes me more and more  excited. We\u2019re playing it like a real world, but there\u2019s all these  technological advancements to the real world, and it\u2019s just really cool.  It\u2019s an awesome movie. I\u2019m dying\u2014as a fan of movies, more than  anything, it\u2019s a movie that I\u2019m just dying to see.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><em><\/em>The film\u00a0is scheduled for released on August 3<sup>rd<\/sup>, 2012.
