Many had a hunch that Nintendo would be revealing a new  console when they took the stage this year so the announcement was  somewhat expected, but that doesn\u2019t make it any less exciting.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"Nintendo_WiiU_sm\" src=\"http:\/\/www.geekrest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/Nintendo_WiiU_sm.jpg\" alt=\"Nintendo_WiiU_sm\" width=\"700\" height=\"495\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The console includes an innovative new  controller which features a 6.2-inch touchscreen which is capable of  displaying a copy of what\u2019s on the television, an alternate camera angle  of your game, or one of many accompanying menus that the game might  include. The controller will also include a microphone, gyroscope as  well as a player-facing camera which will allow the gamer to effectively  play WITHOUT the need for a TV. We\u2019re very excited to see what Nintendo  and third-party developers may be able to bring to such an exciting new  platform.
