{"id":4075,"date":"2011-06-24T17:57:24","date_gmt":"2011-06-24T21:57:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.geekworldordersite.com\/blog\/?p=4075"},"modified":"2011-06-24T17:57:24","modified_gmt":"2011-06-24T21:57:24","slug":"suit-sony-laid-off-security-workers-prior-to-outage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.geekworldordersite.com\/blog\/2011\/06\/suit-sony-laid-off-security-workers-prior-to-outage\/","title":{"rendered":"Suit: Sony Laid Off Security Workers Prior To Outage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/cache.g4tv.com\/ImageDb3\/268508_S\/PlayStation-Network-PSN.jpg\" alt=\"PlayStation Network PSN\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now that the gaming world is settling down a little bit after the  23-day outage of the PlayStation Network a couple months ago, the  lawsuits are starting to appear.<\/p>\n<p>A class-action lawsuit filed this week in U.S. District Court in\u00a0San  Diego (specifically, Felix Cortorreal, Jacques Daoud Jr. and Jimmy  Cortorreal, on Behalf of  Themselves and All Others Similarly Situated  v. Sony Corporation Inc. et  al, 11-1369) alleges that Sony laid off a  number of employees responsible for network security a few weeks before  the PlayStation Network went down.
