This is the fourth installment in the Mission Impossible franchise.   Mission Impossible \u2013 Ghost Protocal is scheduled for release December  16 and stars Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Paula Patton, Josh Holloway,  Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Michael Nyqvist, Anil Kapoor, Lea Seydoux and  Vladimir Mashkov.<\/p>\n<p>Official Synopsis \u2013<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Director Brad Bird and  Producer J.J.
