The comics community rallied full force in  support of Meyer after the theft was reported and went out of their way  to help him replace the stolen items, eventually sending in enough replacement items to almost double his original collection.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI have never felt so much love in my life; I no longer  feel like the Frankenstein monster. I feel that people understand me  now, for the first time in my life.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Meyer is now repaying the kindness and has donated the excess items to the St.  Louis Children\u2019s Hospital, saying: \u201cI\u2019ve been blessed with a lot of  things, so I wanted to share them.\u201d The large donation reportedly  provided six boxes of Superman items which were made available\u00a0to the  hospital\u2019s sick and injured kids in the form of bingo prizes.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWhen you make somebody happy, it does something for you, too,\u201d Meyer said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It&#8217;s very cool to see the comic community rally together and support one of its own. And now to see him pay it forward like that really shows why I love being a part of the geek community. And hopefully, Mike has introduced a whole new generation of geeks to the world. Just seeing one small act can make a huge impact on our society.
