At a press  event earlier in the year to promote the game, EA promised that any  users who purchased the game for the PS3 would also receive a bonus copy  of the popular and well selling title Battlefield 1943. This seemed to  have a great affect and many users pre-ordered the game for the PS3  console.<\/p>\n<p>On the day the game was released, EA informed buyers that they had no  intentions of following through with those promises. This angered a lot  of the game\u2019s buyers.<\/p>\n<p>The law firm of Edelson McGuire has filed the suit against the game  manufacturer. They claim in the suit that EA \u201cmisled and profited from  thousands of their customers by making a promise that they could not,  and never intended, to keep\u201d. Part of the suit also emerges from how EA  handled the situation and how the information came out after the game  was already released.
