Action Comics #1 from 1938, which features the debut of iconic comic  book character Superman, already holds records with copies of the comic  having been sold for over one million dollars. A copy of the comic once  owned by actor Nicolas Cage was sold for the staggering amount of $2.16  Million.<\/p>\n<p>The comic has a bit of a past. Cage owned the comic, which was stolen  back in 2000, and not returned to him until it was found inside a  storage locker in the San Fernando Valley by the Los Angeles Police  Department&#8217;s Art Theft Detail back in April of this year.<\/p>\n<p>Certified Guaranty Company of New Jersey, an industry leader in comic  book appraisal and value gave the comic a rating of 9.0. The comic is  in near mint condition. It also means that the issue is one of the most  pristine copies of the issue ever sold.
