Teaser Trailer and Details for ALIENS: COLONIAL MARINES Video Game

SEGA has unleashed a teaser trailer for their new game Aliens: Colonial Marines in preparation for E3 2011.

This game actually has a pretty cool story, which follows a team of Marines that are sent back to LV-426, to the abandoned U.S.S. Sulaco, where they will investigate what happened to some of the characters from the movie Alines such as Hicks, Hudson, Vasquez, Apone and a few of the others. So this truly is a sequel to Cameron’s classic film.

According SEGA, the story “begins with an ostensibly abandoned ship, the U.S.S. Sulaco, recovered in orbit around LV-426. Players lead a group of highly trained United States Colonial Marines as they board the deserted craft to uncover the fate of the crew. They will have to fight to survive unspeakable horrors and their own anxieties as they chase down the truth behind a galaxy-spanning deception that places humanity at the mercy of the most murderous and deadly species in the universe. Aliens: Colonial Marines features authentic environments, such as the surface of LV-426 and Hadley’s Hope, weapons inspired by the film series and is designed to provide an exhilarating and engaging new chapter in the Aliens universe.”

The games has been in development for five years, and is set to be released in the Spring of 2012. There’s no game footage in the trailer it’s just a teaser, but it sounds like it going to be cool. I’m sure they will release more information and footage from the game as soon as E3 roles around next week so stay tuned.
