Rare dug up a historic franchise to help usher in the launch of the XBox One. Microsoft announced at E3 that they were reviving the Killer Instinct francise. The teaser trailer showed off the next gen graphics while showcasing series regulars Jago, Glacius, and Sabrewulf. During the press conference, they also showed an in game battle as two of the presenters battled using Jago and Sabrewulf. The debut teaser trailer even features the Ultra Combo line. It sounds like they got the original announcer from the old games.
This is the first Killer Instinct title to be available since KI Gold on the N64. This has always been my favorite fighting game franchise and I’m glad it’s coming back. Killer Instinct will be released in late 2013. It will be exclusive to the XBox One.
