What do you get when you take unbridled passion and reverence for video games, Sci-Fi, comics, anime and other geeky things, throw in an assortment of musical talent as varied stylistically as the subject matter they sing about and hit the switch on the blender? You get the one day music fest known as Ongaku Overdrive.
Last year’s Ongaku Overdrive featured several acts playing downtown. This year, things get pumped up. The event will now be played at The Haven Lounge in Winter Park. Going from the afternoon into the night, this year’s event features an expanded roster of performers. Ranging from Chiptunes to Nerd Core to Geek Rock to J-Pop, Ongaku Overdrive has something for everyone.
Ongaku Overdrive II will feature performances by Armcannon, Rai Kamishiro, Mega Ran, Professor Shyguy, Adam WarRock,Richie Branson, Sci-Fried, Benjamin Briggs, Final Weapon, MagiTek, Cashamill Anime Boy, and Danimal Cannon.
