Movie Review: The Fluffy Movie

The Fluffy Guy takes on a variety of subjects in a feature length comedy special. The movie was shot over the course of couple of his shows and was released earlier this year.

Gabriel Iglesias pulls no punches in this one. From his comical adventures to more serious topics such as his dad, growing up, and being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes., Iglesias brings enough emotion and shows adept comedic timing to bring a great experience. He leaves you hanging on to every word he says. Many comedians draw on their lives in self deprecating ways. Iglesias goes very personal in this show, and still finds a way to make a joke at the experiences he has and make them relatable. He spends some time talking about his massive weight loss  and wanting to be around for his family and his audience to make them all laugh.

Sometimes, the true stories are the funniest.  Much of the show is not your usual stand up affair. The personal stories and jokes create a larger atmosphere that helps explain why this was released in theaters instead of being a Comedy Central special. It’s much more than that. It is a journey of a man who has overcome a lot of obstacles to get where he is today.

The Fluffy Movie is a great comedy that is very clean and can be enjoyed by the whole family. It is definitely worth checking out and among Iglesias’ best material.
