Atari is planning a video game sequel to hit game Ghostbusters. Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime is in development, and is planned for release in spring of 2011.
Sadly, it won’t be a full-fledged, on disc sequel. It’s a downloadable game to be released on PlayStation Network, Xbox Live and Windows PC Download. Even worse news: It won’t feature the voices of any of the original Ghostbusters. Not even under-utilized Ghostbuster Winston.
On the plus side, it’s a four player game, where you and your friends can play together and bust ghosts. You’ll be able to employ proton streams, plasma inductors, fermion shock, and you’ll even get to drive the famous ECTO-1, a first in the new Ghostbuster vid-games.
