Felicia Day in Dragon Age Web Series

BioWare has teamed up with delightful social media maven Felicia Day to produce an exclusive web series in support of Dragon Age II. Entitled Dragon Age: Redemption, the six-part series stars and was created by Day, best known for her work on the web series The Guild.

Set Dragon Age II‘s timeframe, the series follows an Elven assassin named Tallis (Day) who’s hired by the Qunari to capture a renegade mage planning to unleash havoc on the world of Ferelden, the fantasy world where the games are set. Her quest requires that she join forces with other companions whose motives and goals don’t always match up with her’s, but they must work together to restore balance and peace to their world.

“Tallis is headstrong, she fights dirty, and she has a really sarcastic sense of humor,” according to Day, who tried to bring a modern sensibility to this fantasy world.

Fans of the comedy-focused The Guild will find that Dragon Age: Redemption is a darker, more serious work, with filmed on location with lots of action. Day’s costars include Adam Rayner (Hawthorne), Marcia Battise, and Doug Jones (Hellboy, Pan’s Labyrinth). The series was directed by Peter Winther (associate producer on Independence Day) and cinematography by John Bartley (Lost).

Jimmy Fallon is airing the world premiere of Dragon Age: Redemption this Wednesday night (February 16th). The series itself debuts sometime this summer, while the game is set for a release on March 8th. The Guild was recently picked up by Xbox Live for a fifth season.
