NBC Explains Why They Passed On WONDER WOMAN

Earlier it was reported that NBC had rejected David E. Kelley‘s Wonder Woman pilot. Today we have some more information as to why the network passed on the series. NBC chief Robert Greenblatt sat down with TV Guide recently and explained the situation:

“They did a great pilot and worked really hard on it. And I have huge respect for David E. Kelley. But we looked at the schedule and our needs and where things were falling into place. And it just didn’t seem to fit.”

Notice that Greenblatt makes no mention of the costume or script issues, he just says it did not “fit”. That is all we have for now, but things are looking pretty bad for Wonder Woman coming to screens any time soon.
