The numbers are in. Within the first 24 hours of being available, Modern Warfare set sales records by recording 6.5 million copies sold. That translates to over $400 Million in sales figures. This breaks the record set by Call of Duty Black Ops ($360 Million) just one year ago. Black ops broke the record set by Modern Warfare 2 ($310 Million) the year before that.
Those are impressive numbers for a single game series. I personally am not a shooter fan, but I have played Black Ops a few time with some of my friends online. The control scheme is not bad and had a good enough time playing it. So, props to Activision for making such a well received game.
