SyFy Orders Booster Gold Script

SyFy has shown quite the love for super heroes lately. Having recently wrapped up the first season of their highly successful hero drama, Alphas, SyFy is now looking to add to their hero line up. This time they will be going more mainstream with DC Comic’s “Booster Gold”.

They have so far only ordered the pilot for what will be a one hour drama series based on the franchise. The project will be penned by Andrew Kreisberg, known for his work on Fox’s “Fringe”.

Fans have been clamoring for “Booster Gold” for a while. The character first appeared on television during the final season of “Smallville” and was well received by fans of the series.

The story of “Booster Gold” focuses on a washed up athlete from the future who goes back in time to present day Earth in hopes of becoming the greatest super hero of all time. But, instead of fighting crimes and saving the day, he is more focused on fame and fortune. He then over times learns what it really means to be a super hero.

No word on any casting choices or rumors are available at the moment.
