Mark Hamill Displeased With Spike VGAs

Mark Hamill was nominated for a Spike Video Game Award for his portrayal of The Joker in this year’s Batman: Arkham City. The veteran voice actor had no problem with not winning the award, but apparently was displeased with a couple of other things. First he was displeased with the fact that his seat was quite far from the stage. The other thing he was displeased with was the fact that the award he was nominated for was presented off stage and not during the live broadcast of the show.

Game co-star Tara Strong, who voiced Harley Quinn in the game was also quite vocal in her displeasure at the evening. The two took to Twitter to voice their displeasures.

Mark: Weird VGAs! Don’t mind losing but I’d like to know when it happens Did I miss something?Award given off-camera? Tara & I in lousy seats BOO!

Tara: VGA awards r just a big commercial! They did not even announce vo live, me & @HamillHimself sat in the bleachers

I mean, I got my make-up done; I at least wanted a close up of my face when I lost but pretended to be happy for someone else!!!

Hey, @SPIKE_TV, if you weren’t going 2 announce the nominees, y have us come 2 the show? VO may not matter 2 u, but it sure does to us.

While the evening did not go so well for the two, Arkham City did quite well at the award show. The game took home the awards for Best X-Box 360 Game, Character of the Year (The Joker), Best Action Adventure Game and Best Adapted Video Game.
