The Real Congregation :: Straight From “The Source”

The time is the 1970′s. The place is Southern California. Behind the doors of a health food restaurant known as The Source was a spiritual avatar known as Father Yod. Assembled among Father Yod were roughly 140 disciples that constituted The Source Family. They’d come for spiritual teachings to help them glide gently into the Aquarian Age, and they all lived together in one gigantic house with a trademark Rolls Royce in the driveway. Attached to the restaurant was a record store that sold two main items: books that Father Yod had written, and limited-edition pressings of records made by The Source Family.

Djin Aquarian was the lead guitarist and, at times, head songwriter for this family. Marc With a C was lucky enough to have a long conversation with him about the fascinating snapshots into Source Family life that exist in these grooves, the shows the Family would do at local high schools, and the future of YaHoWha-related music… and possibly a second life for the Source Family. Tune in to hear the magnificence of the memory on a very special episode of The Real Congregation!
