Looking Back At The Year That Was 2023

It’s that time again. It’s time to lo0ok back and reflect on the latest trip around the sun. New year, new me and all that stuff. What was 2023? Was it a success? Was it a failure? Let’s take a look.

This was a relatively quiet year. I wasn’t as hard on the conventions and the ones I went to I more sat back and enjoyed them and hung out with friends than focusing on covering them. Although after an off year con wise, I am ready to hit the con scene harder again get back to more conventions.

I didn’t set a lot of goals this year. My main goal was to be more consistent in content. I focused on my YouTube channel. I set a goal to have a new video out every Tuesday and I can say I accompl;ished that and more. Every Tuesday was hot and I even managed a majority of Fridays as well. I put out a total of 82 videos this year. I saw huge growth in terms of views and subscribers. It was very satisfying to see that growth. I have plans for the upcoming year as well and can’t wait to get started on those.

I was able to a little more traveling. After 2022’s hospital visit, i was only able to get out of state for DragonCon. This year I was able to make it to JoeFest and DragonCon. I want to do more traveling even if it’s just within Florida but after I get some things paid off this year, some more out of state travel may be possible as well.

But wuth what I have done, what does the future hold? What do I want to accomplish this year? Mainly it’s going to be more of what I did in 2023. I want to continue to grow my YouTube presence and continue in t he direction of becoming a better content creator. I want to see more growth and more consistency. For 2023, I want to hit two videos per week regularly. That will continie the regular Tuesday video which will likely be a toy review of some sort. Then I will make the Friday video a regular thing as well. This video will likely be them park or convention vlogs that will require a little more editing time. I am also looking into doing more scripted videos such as skits and retrospectives. More on that at a later time.

I also want to get back inot more podcasting. I have thought of reviving Totally Radical Cartoon Podcast. I love 80s cartoons and want to talk about them again. I would also love to be a part of other podcasts. Any inquiries for podasts? Feel free to reach out to me.

Overall, I want to create more and enjoy the experience. I will continue to bring the effort and this year I feel revived and ready to go. Things may look a little different in how they are presented but the same drive and passion for geeky things will still be the underlying force. Let’s take down 2024 and make it the best year ever.

Live Long and Prosper Til All are One.
