The war between the internet and Michael Bay wages on. Fans have outraged since learning that Bay would be altering the Turtles back story to make them into aliens. TMNT co-creator Peter Laird had weighed in on the issue encouraging people to wait until they saw the final product even though he would not be involved with the film. It had been revealed that one of the creators would be involved with this project. That means that the one involved with the production would be Kevin Eastman. Eastman has confirmed his involvement with the film. He has also released his own statement on the matter.

I had been invited to check out the TMNT film development by my friend Scott Mednick over the years, and a while back had a full look behind the curtain at what writers Appelbaum and Nemec, director Liebesman, and producer Bay are doing–and trust me–it IS AWESOME. I’m officially on board, and will share more as I’m allowed… thanks all!

While the creators of the franchise may be on board with this, it does not change the community’s opinion of the project. Many are still outraged at the idea and seeing the creators okay with all of these changes may just anger fans more.

Steven Speilberg has been wowing audiences for years with cutting edge, breakthrough movies. It’s hard to belive that the Jurassic Park film series will be turning 20 years old next year, but that is exactly the case. The franchise was hailed a success as the original movie was a cinematic masterpiece in computer animation at the time and was also the number one grossing movie that year. Since then two sequels have come about and Jurassic Park has an entire area dedicated to it at Universal’s Islands of Adventure.

The franchise will now see a rebirth of sorts as for its 20th anniversary, the original film will get a 3D treatment and a re-release in theaters. The re-release is scheduled to open on July 19, 2013. This is just a few weeks after Speilberg’s latest film, Robopocalypse, hits theaters.

The film surely promises to be a treat for all movie goers. Jurassic Park is heralded as one of the best movies of all time. A new generation of movie goers will be able to be wowed by the film in seeing on the big screen. This will be one not to pass up when it comes out.

Sometimes you just have to have a movie day. AMC Theaters is taking it to a whole new level. The theater chain will be hosting Marvel Marathons in select cities on May 3rd.

The marathon will feature six movies. They will show Iron Man, Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor, and Captain America before finishing the marathon with the debuting Avengers.
