In this episode we bring you last week’s geek headlines, including some Smallville and V casting news and the passing of Hollywood writer/director Tom Mankiewicz, perhaps best known for his work with Richard Donner on Superman and Superman II – The Richard Donner Cut. We follow that with some long overdue TV reviews focused on USA’s Burn Notice and Covert Affairs, both of which are giving spy thriller fans great summer viewing fun in their own ways. We wrap up this hour with reviews on the latest entries of two ongoing event books at the Big Two, Brightest Day #7 (Johns, Tomasi, Reis, Syaf, et. al) for DC Comics and Shadowland #2 (Diggle, Tan) for Marvel.
