A new action figure from Hasbro shows Decepticon leader Megatron in both robot and vehicle form. Set picture from August confirms it.
Transformers: Dark of the Moon had a very public shoot in high profile locations such as Chicago and Cape Canaveral. Many pictures were taken showing possible Autobots and Decepticons. This image below had Transformers message boards speculating it could be Onslaught, Octane, Motormaster, Megatron or just simply a tanker that was destined for an explosion.
Turns out this is indeed Megatron. Images of a prototype have emerged showing how he will appear in the film. Some minor differences may exist but as you can see from the vehicle comparison image below, it is spot on. Megatron has five fingers, which according to Seibertron.com, is “the first time in a very long time.”
Transformers: Dark of the Moon, set for release on July 1, 2011 in 3D, is directed by Michael Bay. It stars Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Patrick Dempsey, John Turturro, Alan Tudyk, Ken Jeong and John Malkovich.
