Thor Loses Director Patty Jenkins

Marvel’s sequel to its 2011 blockbuster hit Thor has run into a major delay. The film is now without a director.

Citing creative differences, Patty Jenkins has now backed out of the project that is currently slated to be released November 15, 2013. This is the second director the film has lost. Kenneth Branagh, who directed the first film in the series, opted to not direct the sequel and pulled out very early in the development of the film. Marvel is already working with agencies to secure a new director for the project to minimize the delays.

Marvel has had a good track record with most of their recent films. Hopefully they will find a director quickly. The Thor sequel will be one of the most anticipated movies of 2013.
