Do you like movie marathons? Sure, who doesn’t? AMC Theaters know that movie goers love marathons. They held a quite successful marathon when The Avengers opened. The good news is that they are going to do it again with another successful comic book movie series: Batman.
When Avengers opened, AMC hosted a marathon of five films leading up to the midnight premier of the movie. With The Dark Knight Rises opening in July, AMC will host a Dark Knight marathon. Movie goers will be able to view the first two movies in the series, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, before moving on to the final film in the trilogy directed by Christopher Nolan: The Dark Knight Rises.
The marathon will take place July 19th. You can purchase your tickets to the event beginning at noon on June 11th. This will still be a long marathon. The Dark Knight Rises will be the longest film in the series starring Christian Bale as Batman. The film clocks in at two hours and forty-five minutes.
The Dark Knight Rises officially opens on July 20th. The movie features Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Morgan Freeman, and Gary Oldman.
